What happens at the free home consultation?
  • Set aside 15-20 minutes for your consultation.
  • Have your pets home and introduce them to the sitter during your consultation.
  • Tell the pet sitter about all health problems the pets may have—major or minor.
  • Tell the pet sitter about any behavioral problems or history—major or minor.
  • You will receive a Welcome Packet with letters of recommendation, proof of insurance, proof of NAPPS certification, and the paperwork you will be required to fill out. 
  • The sitter will leave the packet with you so you can check the references and thoroughly read through the paperwork.  If you want to hire Veteran Pet Sitting- call to schedule your pre-service visit.
What happens at the pre-service visit?
  • Set aside 20-30 minutes for the visit.
  • Go over any questions you have about the paperwork & then sign the required documents.
  • Walk your sitter through the pets and home daily routine (show where all the supplies, bowls, leashes, litter boxes, hiding places, off limits areas, etc. can be found).
  • Provide 2 copies of your house keys (if they’re newly made keys—test ot make sure they work).   Provide security system info.
Do you have a replacement sitter if one becomes necessary?
  • Yes.  Your service will never be interrupted.  An equally qualified replacement will fill in.  You will be notified in this event.
What if my pet needs medical attention?
  • We will use the information that you provided on your Veterinary Release Form to attain the proper care for your pet.
Do you accept checks?
  • Yes.  Cash and checks are accepted.
Do you have insurance?
  • Yes.  We are fully insured and bonded.
